"Baba Ori" as we commonly refer to him behind his back, may your soul RIP & may the Almighty God grant all left behind the fortitude to bear your departure from planet Earth @ ripe age. I can never forget you Sir because you made it possible for me to study psychiatry at Psychiatric Hosp Yaba now FNPH, Yaba. I was told that the hospital no longer accepted 'Corpers' because of poor performances of our predecessors but on seeing us, you changed your mind and accepted us. A year later you sent the head of Clinical services to ask us Corpers to apply for residency training. I am grateful to you & your administration for the empowerment. I am a psychiatrist with over 2 decades experience and with the will to do more by His grace, amen. Rest well Sir. Adieu.

Oga as we always call him privately employed me and nurtured my early development as a psychiatrist in Yaba.
He was a gentle and compassionate leader. He had an aura of respect around him a kind of aura that draws you in rather than push you away.
I can't forget his dress sense of suit and tie Monday to Thursday and dressing down to buba and Sokoto on Friday. To me that was a sign that the weekend has officially started.
His laughter and smile was infectious and warm. He had a way of calming down the most aggressive client when we fail to. Rather than accept the grace upon him to accomplish this feat I coined it the white hair effect on the angry patient.
He made sure we worked and played together as a family. He led us with example and he was fair. He was a detribalised man a rare germ in our country.
Oga encouraged us to gain more experience abroad with the aim of transforming our practice. I owe him greatly for this vision.
Oga was a peoples person and unreservedly say this world was undeserving of him.
Oga supported by his team set the foundation stone for Yaba Psychiatrist Hospital transformation to a beautiful institution we can all be proud of.
Goodnight Oga Orija. My unforgettable boss.

EXIT OF AN AMAZING UNCLE
We give God the glory, for the life of our Uncle , Dr Orija. He was a blessing to our family, in his lifetime. I had the privilege to have met him with our Father, in their lifetimes . A humble and , accomplished Medical Practitioner of high standards. The industry , especially Yaba Psychiatric Hospital ,will miss his wealth of experience.
The family has also lost its own.
Rest in eternal peace, Uncle.

We meet to part and we part to meet. Your time in Yaba Psychiatric Hospital popularly known as "Yaba Apa Osi" as a doctor and finally as a Medical Director before you retired was well spent with lots of memories.
